Twang is a Director of Central Chambers and was also made Equity Director given his adaptability to wide areas of the law between the distinct disciplines of litigation, commercial practice and corporate practice.
Since being admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor in 1999, Twang has been practising general civil and commercial litigation and arbitration in a wide spread of practice areas. Litigation remains his favourite area although he covers non-litigation areas of practice.
The Sportshub Project is presently one of Twang’s major projects for the Singapore Government, a non-litigation area where he advises on legal aspects of Project development. Similarly, Twang is proficient with the various aspects of information technology and the internet and the issues relevant to these areas. Apart from assisting his clients and colleagues on the technical aspects of their cases, Twang had also previously acted as legal advisor to the Singapore subsidiary of an internet start-up on various legal and regulatory issues pertaining to the establishment of their lifestyle portal.
Twang has researched, co-written and co-edited the Singapore chapter of “Doing Business In… Handbook 2005, 10th Edition”, a publication by the Practical Law Company, as well as researched and co-written the Singapore chapter of a research memorandum entitled “A Primer On Internet Regulations: A Multi-Country Survey” for LRN, the Legal Knowledge Company. Twang had also researched and co-written an article in the Singapore Law Review entitled “Internet Defamation: Liability Of Intermediaries And Alternative Dispute Resolution”. Most recently, Twang had researched, co-written and co-edited the inaugural edition of “Singapore Precedents of Pleading” edited by Professor Jeffrey Pinsler.
