Rajendran Kumaresan is a Director and practices the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. Raj, as we know him, was made Equity Director given his good performance at Central Chambers. With 10 years of experience, Raj has gradually developed a diverse practice in the areas of civil, commercial and criminal litigation, with an emphasis on contract and construction issues and now commercial disputes. He has also acted for various insurance companies in personal injury and property damage litigation. He is actively involved in trials and appeals at all levels of the Singapore Courts as well as in domestic arbitrations.

Over time, Raj has demonstrated his ability to consider legal issues and problems from different perspectives. He possesses a mindset of exploring different varieties of options and solutions that would best address client concerns. This arose from his being involved in different legal teams for litigation matters over the years. He has an eye for detail in litigation documentation.

Areas of Raj’s criminal law practice include blue and white-collar crimes, immigration offences, commercial crimes, company offences and prosecutorial work.


Raj is currently working on areas that would extend the involvement of the litigation team into clients’ areas of business which include debt recovery, management of human resource issues in companies and organisations.
