Eugene Lim has practised law for over 20 years and was a boost to the founding Directors Ronnie and Aloysius when he decided to join Central Chambers. He possesses extensive experience and expertise in litigation, banking, corporate, labour and commercial advisory legal services and international transactions for banking and corporate clients. Related areas include mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, loans and securitization. Eugene is a director and/or legal agent of several leading companies and multi-nationals in diverse industries.
Graduating in 1982 with a LLB. (Hons.) degree from the University of London, Eugene was called to the English Bar in 1983 and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. He was awarded a Book Prize for Best Overall Performance (1980) and was the first recipient of the Douglas Lawton Cup for a first class in Mercantile (Business) Law (1981). He obtained a Masters degree in Law from the University of Cambridge in 1984, specializing in corporate and securities law. He became a Barrister and Solicitor of Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and a Barrister of any Federal Court in Australia in 1991. Whenever the opportunity arises, Eugene contributes to legal publications. He had also previously lectured and tutored on commercial subjects for the University of London external law examinations.
Eugene remains an alumni of the Stanford University - National University of Singapore International Management Executive Program (1999) and AVIRA (Awareness, Vision, Imagination, Responsibility, Action) program for top management at INSEAD (2005).
