Nisa Akarawuttiwong, a Thai lawyer, joined Central Chambers in Singapore as part of the Regional Practice Group. Nisa graduated from Thammasat University, Thailand with a Law degree in 2002. She obtained a Masters degree in Law from the University of London in 2007 specializing in commercial and corporate law. She was admitted to the Thai Bar in 2004. In addition to a Thai lawyer qualification, she holds a Notarial Services Attorney license from the Lawyers Council of Thailand.
Prior to coming to Singapore, Nisa worked with Nitipeerachat Law Office, Bangkok, Thailand as an Attorney and Legal Advisor. Her areas of practice are substantially in civil litigation, disputes relating to landlord and tenant, employment, tort and negligence, commercial and corporate and construction contracts.
While working at Central Chambers, Nisa developed a special interest in Intellectual Property practice having worked with the corporate clients and assisting them with issues of intellectual property. She is currently helping to develop the areas of trademark protection and aspects of patenting practice within Central Chambers.
Nisa provides obviously, legal advice in the areas relating to Thai law and she works towards methods to facilitate investors considering investments in Thailand.
