Lukshumayeh has practised law for well over a decade. He possesses extensive experience and expertise in civil and criminal litigation, immigration matters, law relating to sports, intellectual property rights and information technology, family law and corporate secretarial and corporate practice.
Graduated in 1987 with a LLB. (Hons.) degree from the University of London, Lukshumayeh was called to the English Bar in 1989 and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. He was awarded a Book Prize for Best Overall Performance (1985). He had previously lectured and tutored on the law of contract, commercial law and other subjects for the University of London external law examinations.
He was formerly an In-House Legal Counsel with a public listed company advising on and undertaking the drafting of various commercial agreements such as joint ventures, teaming and re-seller to name a few.
He has very extensive experience and knowledge relating to the law on sports, having been a sports administrator and an elected management committee member of various national sports associations in Singapore and the Asian continent. He has also represented parties in sports disciplinary including for the Singapore National Olympic Committee in its disciplinary hearings, Board of Inquiry and other sports related matters. He is presently continuing to serve in various national and continental sports bodies including as legal adviser to the ASEAN Disability Sailing Federation.
Lukshumayeh is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Intellectual Property Management (MSC IP MGMT) in the National University of Singapore.
