Lisa is a Senior Associate of the Practice with nearly 30 years of experience in legal practice. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University of London, and Master of Laws (LLM) in Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London. She was called as a Barrister to the Bar of England and Wales in July 1989 and admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England in November 1992. In 1995, she was admitted as an advocate and solicitor in both the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam and the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Lisa practised as a solicitor with the firm of Messrs Laderman & Co. in London from 1990 to 1993. In 1994 she worked with the firm of Messrs Leong & Gay in Singapore. In 1995, Lisa relocated to Brunei Darussalam where she started her legal practice with Messrs D F Abang Zen and later joined Messrs Ahmad Isa & Partners. Lisa was with Messrs Ahmad Isa & Partners for 22 years.

Lisa has extensive experience in advising both local and international clients in the areas of international trade negotiations and financing, intellectual property rights, cross-border contracts, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, sale of businesses, corporate restructuring, securities and investment laws and the oil and gas industry.

Over the past years, Lisa has helmed the legal aspects of several landmark projects notably, the inception of the Brunei stock exchange, the modernisation of Brunei International Airport Terminal, the joint venture with the Ministry of Finance for the development and operation of the CAE Brunei Multi-Purpose Training Centre in Brunei Darussalam, the merger of two major Islamic insurance companies namely, Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd and Takaful Keluarga Sdn Bhd and advising a consortium of financiers on the project to construct an integrated crude oil refinery and aromatics complex on Pulau Muara Besar Island in Brunei Darussalam.

Lisa was also the main counsel advising Nations Petroleum Brunei Limited, in their years of conducting oil and gas exploration activities in Brunei Darussalam.
