Kong Ching was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2006. She began legal practice at a law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. While working there, she was involved in various aspects of corporate work, namely reverse take-overs, corporate bonds issuance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial contracts and due diligence for both private and public listed companies. She also involved herself in conveyancing matters.
Kong Ching came to Singapore and registered herself as a Foreign Lawyer in 2007. She continued to advise clients from Malaysia on aspects of Singapore Law and Legal requirements.
Prior to joining Central Chambers as a Foreign Lawyer, Kong Ching worked as In-House Counsel at a business advisory firm. There, she worked with other consultants in corporate restructuring, foreign direct investments and compliance matters. She acted as company secretary for various companies and was providing corporate secretarial support to Singapore based close-ended and open-ended funds. That role eventually exposed her to various funds set-up and funds administration in Singapore.
Kong Ching speaks and writes in English, Chinese and Malay.
